Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Supervisor, or contract management. Reads and interprets instructions and plans work activities. Monitors materials and equipment in work locations and storage. Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to lower lever employees and may reassign work delegated from supervisor. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed.

Candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience of cleaning operations, understanding of Health and Safety requirements and commercial awareness.

As part of the daily operations the deputy supervisor should be able to stand in for the supervisor, taking responsibility for up to 7 team leaders and 60 cleaners. The principal language used will be English and the candidate should be able to work in this language. As the majority of the workers are from a variety of nations further language skills are preferable. The candidate will be required to monitor the work of a sub-contractor and ensure they are complying with the instructions laid out in the contract.

Services covered are the cleaning of accommodation, ablutions, offices, portable toilets and other building fabric, such as windows, along with other tasks as required.

Current or ability to hold a NATO recognized security clearance is advantageous.
